About Us

Welcome to Cross Road Bernedoodles

Hi, I'm Karen! My husband, Sam, and I live in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, about an hour east of Pittsburgh. We have been dog owners all our lives, and raised puppies for 15 years. We specialized in pembroke welsh corgis and french bulldogs. We retired from breeding, and gathered a variety pack of pups to fill our home. Currently, we have two frenchies, a blue heeler, and a mini bernedoodle. The bernedoodle captured our hearts, and she is what spurred us to raise puppies again. The temperament of the bernedoodle is one of the best we've encountered in a dog, and we want to work at preserving that loving, loyal, goofy, gentle and intelligent personality so others can also enjoy these amazing dogs as valued family members.

We raise our puppies in our home, and are very conscious about socializing them as fully as possible to minimize stress in any future home they may find themselves in. Our puppies are familiarized with individuals with disabilities, noise levels of varying intensities, crowds of people, varied footing surfaces, and a wide variety of other factors. We feel this is important, as a well socialized puppy usually develops into a safer, more relaxed, and enjoyable family member. A well socialized puppies will be less likely to act fearfully or aggressively when faced with something new. As many mini bernedoodles go to homes with children, this is very important to us.

We always welcome visitors to our home, as we feel it's important for you to meet the dogs and see the environment our puppies are raised in. Our babies are born and raised in our home, with plenty of outdoor time when they're old enough.
